My mom, Mika ElBaz, works in the music business and took me to the GRAMMY rehearsal! Her associate, Chantel, made it happen. I saw Kendrick Lamar’s amazing rehearsal! Then I met my friend, Jack Antonoff, who was in the band FUN, and now Bleachers. Jack co-wrote Taylor Swift’s “Out of The Woods”. I hung out with Jack and met his friend Tyler, who I beat twice at TicTacToe. He didn’t see my moves coming. I then saw Jack play with Taylor Swift; it was PHENOMENAL! I asked Jack how it feels to rehearse without an audience; he said it’s awkward and it’s taken him years pretending there’s a crowd. He also said TV cameras are a bit like playing to a mirror. Jack won a Grammy with Taylor and later told me, “It’s cool. We wrote those songs in a tiny apartment, two friends hanging out, so it’s no different than when I wrote songs with my friends when I was 14.”
