Our family went to the missions to do Visita Iglesia. It is a Filipino tradition to visit 7 churches during Holy Week. I thought it would be nice to visit missions since we just learned about them. Our road trip started in San Luis Obispo. I liked the museum a lot! Next was San Miguel Archangel. It had a canon and I saw a nice painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Then we drove to Nuestra Señora dela Soledad. Its jasmine garden was beautiful. When we reached Monterey we visited San Carlos Cathedral, which is a presidio chapel. The fifth church was San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo. It was special because we had our Easter Mass there and I got to visit the tomb of St. Junipero Serra. Next stop was Santa Ines. The location was very nice and it had a big courtyard. Lastly, we visited Santa Barbara. The church was modeled after Roman architecture and it is made of stone and not adobe. This trip was awesome!
