In March, 1st grade hosted the service project. They chose A Window Between Worlds which donates art supplies such as paint, paint brushes, markers, crayons, and playdough. I asked Ms. Nguyen about the charity. “The organization provides a creative outlet to individuals coping with traumatic experiences. It allows an individual a peek in someone’s past, which allows you to understand who they are presently, through art,” said Ms. Nguyen. I also interviewed Alondra Lopez Gorham and Riley Capistron in 1st grade and asked them both, what is your favorite part of the Service Project? Alondra replied, “My favorite thing is that we get to donate things.” Riley replied, “To donate to other kids.” In my opinion, this Service Project is a very good one with a good cause.
