Many families have a Christmas tradition of helping those less fortunate at this

time of year, as a demonstration of their faith. We, as a Christian Community,

are called to do corporal works of mercy. For example, Asher Bailey’s parents,

who are both professional hair stylists, are cutting poor people’s hair over the

holidays. The Traynor family will feed the homeless. Recently, Sister Virginia

asked our school community to support families in need from the St. Thomas

parish near downtown LA. Parent, Amanda Bennett (Connor Bennett 5th

grade), who is buying a gift for one of these children, said: “We love being able

to help kids in need.”
